Beacon-Fusion Joint Venture (BFJV) is proud to announce that several of their employees on the NASA Headquarters (HQ) contract were awarded the NASA Group Achievement Award as part of their work on the HQ Renovation Team. The award recognized their exceptional contributions during the renovation of NASA HQ.
The Renovation Team was created to support the activities surrounding the NASA HQ renovation, which included providing a completely redesigned infrastructure while maintaining occupancy and operations. The renovation was a whole-building overhaul to include upgrading the building’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and affected all occupants within the HQ building.
The NASA Group Achievement Award was handed to the recipients on September 10th at a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the building renovation. Administrator Charles Bolden and Executive Director of Headquarter Operations, Jay Henn, attended the event wherein they presented the award to the Renovation Team. This included Beacon-Fusion JV employees: Keith Scott, Carl Hammond, George Pope, Mike Brunson, Daryl Mitchell, Taylor Mitchell, Brenden Funderburk, Godfry Jenkins, Mike Williams, Eric Williams, and Greg Wilder.
“I am extremely proud of our team of employees,” states BFJV Program Manager, Susan Phin. “I know they went above and beyond to provide outstanding customer service while the renovation was occurring and this award is very deserving.”
The Beacon-Fusion Joint Venture (BFJV), comprised of Beacon Associates, Inc. and Media Fusion, has partnered with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) on this contract since 2012 to provide library operations, archival support, information services, mail center operations, help desk, courier services, and audio-visual support.
