Beacon is proud to announce their win of the NextGen Cohort II Program contract with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Under the contract, Beacon will provide coaching, facilitation, and training to the next generation of leaders within DHS Headquarters.
“We’re excited about the opportunity to work with DHS in developing the critical leadership skills they need to drive their mission forward,” says Ann Marie Bryant, Beacon’s Chief Operations Officer. “By bringing our extensive experience in leadership and our deep understanding in the area of human performance in the workplace, we look forward to helping DHS ensure outstanding leadership in support of their critical core missions.”

DHS’s goal is to build the next generation of management leaders, and to develop and deploy a long-term, sustainable mechanism that keeps it alive and evergreen. NextGen provides the “connective tissue” between the current leadership at DHS and the next group of leaders in the offices of Finance, Administration, Security, Procurement, Information, and Human Capital. Leaders in each of these lines of business have different end goals; however, the NextGen program provides an opportunity for them to come together and work side-by-side on issues that affect the overall mission of the agency, now and in the future.

DHS has several core missions: prevent terrorism and enhance security, secure and manage borders, enforce and administer immigration laws, safeguard and secure cyberspace, ensure resilience to disasters, and focus on maturing and strengthening the homeland security enterprise.
