Carol Koffinke


Carol Koffinke founded Beacon Associates, Inc. in 2002, bringing her in-depth understanding of management and human capital as a platform from which to grow an award winning company. She led Beacon into the federal sector in 2003. Since then, Beacon has held contracts with over 30 agencies and sub-agencies. She has won numerous prestigious awards to include Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award for the Maryland region and the company has been named the 11th fastest growing women led company in North America.

Prior to starting Beacon, Carol served as CEO for a multi-state healthcare system. With over 15 years in senior management, and a Master’s Degree in Education from Boston University, she has also served as a consultant in a variety of industries to include healthcare, government, and education. She is author of two books and has appeared on national television and radio.

Carol’s primary focus is strategic visioning and the transformation activities in support of Beacon’s evolution. Carol’s passion is the culture and she models and vigorously enforces the values on which she founded the company. Several years ago, she oversaw the implementation of an employee engagement survey and the positive feedback was validated when Beacon was awarded “75 Top Places to Work” in the Baltimore Region by the Baltimore Sun.
