What is Performance DNA?
Much like any living organism, organizations have blueprints or codes...
Strategic planning, succession planning, organizational development, workforce planning, and more
An organization should never be on auto-pilot. Whether your goal is to grow, to change direction, or to make a splash, Beacon can support you in setting and meeting future-oriented objectives.
Beacon takes a purposeful, innovative, and measurable approach to preparing for the future, including elements of business planning, strategic planning, and structured management techniques.
Are you in step, or one step ahead…
We assist organizations in transitioning from a day-to-day operational focus to one that is goal-oriented and holistically integrated. A great deal of time is wasted when managers operate reactively—responding to needs, questions, and problems as they arise. Defining goals early makes for a proactive approach, allowing both early anticipation and prevention of issues. This in turn can exponentially increase your ability to reach your goals, whether to increase engagement, productivity, profitability, or growth. Our approach also better enables team members to feel empowered and in control of their role and impact on the organization.

Preparing for the future of a community…
![]()
For Beacon’s home state of Maryland, the future is now. Beacon has been there to help with the transition and to support our community.
One of the most impactful events Maryland faces in the near future is the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC), which will affect all the areas surrounding Maryland’s military bases and posts, including Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Fort Detrick, and Fort Meade. In 2009, Beacon conducted an analysis of the current and forecasted 2012 Federal civilian workforces at APG under a contract with Harford Community College, in association with Baltimore City Community College, the Community College of Baltimore County, and Cecil Community College.
Throughout the major phases of work on the initiative, Beacon provided specific services to facilitate and conduct analysis of present and future occupations at APG in a number of mission critical areas to include engineering, mathematics and science, technology, logistics, and procurement. Through this process, we identified training requirements and conducted an analysis to identify gaps in available curricula throughout the region, as well as courses and programs that need to be developed or modified.
