Carol Koffinke, President/CEO
Carol Koffinke founded Beacon Associates, Inc. in 2002, bringing her in-depth understanding of management and human capital as a platform from which to grow an award winning company. She has won numerous prestigious awards to include Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award for the Maryland region and the company has been named the 11th fastest growing women led company in North America. Prior to starting Beacon, Carol served as CEO for a multi-state healthcare system and served as a consultant in a variety of industries to include healthcare, government, and education. View Profile
Ann Marie Bryant, Chief Operating Officer
Ann Marie Bryant brings over 20 years of senior management experience to the company’s executive team. Before Beacon, she spent 7 years with Ernst & Young and 6 years in the finance industry and has directly served commercial and federal clients including VA, FEMA, DHS, GSA, Sprint PCS and Coca-Cola. In 2003, she became the first person Carol hired to grow the newly founded Beacon Associates, and she has been Carol’s right hand person since the beginning. Brian Smith, Chief Financial Officer
Brian Smith is responsible for leading and overseeing the tactical and strategic financial operations of Beacon. He has over 25 years’ experience as a financial executive supporting a variety of industries including manufacturing and distribution, technology and government contracting. He has experience in all aspects of strategic finance, including accounting, mergers and acquisitions, corporate operations and business planning. Prior to joining Beacon, Brian was the CFO for a government contracting organization that provided IT technology services in which he led the successful acquisition of the company. View Profile
Amy Pfaff, Vice President of Business Services
As Vice President of Business Services, Amy Pfaff leads the Operational Support Services Division and oversees the development of the corporate infrastructure to support high growth. Amy is a skilled executive with more than 15 years of experience with operational/administrative management including finance, office administration, and human resource management. Her career includes supporting Fortune 500 companies, such as T. Rowe Price and Crestar Bank. This experience has enabled her to impart best practices from industry leaders to a fast growing and successful organization, such as Beacon. Mason Holloway, Senior Director of Consulting Services
Mason Holloway is an accomplished professional with over 20 years of experience in senior leadership, organizational effectiveness, strategy development, performance improvement, and change management. Mason is co-author of Performance DNA™, the most comprehensive and effective toolset for analyzing human performance available today. Performance DNA™ has been widely adopted internationally and is the only methodology taught in the American Society for Training and Development’s (ASTD) esteemed HPI certificate program. Charles Mann, Senior Director of Business Development
Charles Mann brings over 30 years of seasoned leadership capabilities to the organization and provides key leadership in shaping Beacon’s Government Business Development Practice. In addition to his 10 plus years in Business Development, Charles brings a unique combination of experience in communications, media, event management and broadcast news spanning some 20 years. Prior to joining Beacon, Charles was Director of Business/Project Management for AMDEX Corporation and ENCORE Management, both government contracting firms. He has also held events/broadcast management positions with The World Bank, Fannie Mae, and Westinghouse Broadcasting (now CBS). View Profile
Ruth Ann Raup, Director, Human Resources
Ruth Ann Raup’s human resources career has spanned more than 30 years. Leading Beacon’s HR Organization, she is certified in Organization Development through Georgetown University, as well as being a certified Mediator and certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). Prior to joining Beacon, Ruth Ann spent seven years as Human Resources Director at the United States Naval Institute. A life-long Maryland resident, Ruth Ann is a graduate of the University of Maryland, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and a Masters of Arts degree in education. View Profile
