Charles Mann Senior Director of Business Development
As Beacon’s Senior Director of Business Development, Charles brings over 30 years of seasoned leadership capabilities to the organization. In addition to his 10 plus years in Business Development, Charles brings a unique combination of experience in communications, media, event management and broadcast news spanning some 20 years. This overall experience has helped him to develop the necessary skills to build relationships/partnerships, understand ideas and concepts on a complex level, and to communicate in a persuasive and convincing manner.
Charles’ key directive as Senior Director is to lead and oversee the business development activities across the organization as it continues its path of dynamic growth. He has been instrumental in developing Beacon’s successful approach to building business via Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts at the Department of State and National Institutes of Health. Additionally, he has provided key leadership in shaping Beacon’s Government Business Development practice which spans both the Consulting and Support Services Divisions.
Prior to joining Beacon Associates, Charles was Director of Business/Project Management for AMDEX Corporation and ENCORE Management, both government contracting firms. Mann has also held events/broadcast management positions with The World Bank, Fannie Mae, and Westinghouse Broadcasting (now CBS). Currently, Charles represents the organization in the American Council of Technology/Industry Advisory Council (ACT/IAC), and is a member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), and the National Institutes of Health Long Term Administrative Support Contract (LTASC) Industry Advisory Committee.
Mann holds a BA in political science and has received a certificate in Leadership from the University of Maryland University College.
